Nursery

Lollipop has a place to sleep!  Last weekend Patrick painted our empty room (affectionately referred to as the "patriotic room" because of the previous paint job) and tonight he put together the new crib.  It is amazing what a coat of paint and a few pieces of furniture will do - it looks like a nursery now!

We are going to use the top of the dresser from the guest room as a changing table.  But right now it is hosting a display of a few of our favorite things:  the wooden duck Patrick and I bought in Prague, baby's first Disney bear from Jen and Ross, Jorge the elephant from Guatemala from Tara, and the beautiful Madame Alexander doll (appropriately named "Going to Grandma's House") from Patrick's mom.

Also in the room is a wooden rocking chair that my mom refinished, a needlepoint footstool that Mimi made, and a cross stitched "Child's Prayer" that Mimi made and gave to me on my 6th birthday.

I am really looking forward to going to Buffalo next weekend for the baby shower.  I am so excited to see everyone!!

Looks great Mariah! We now have a crib and changing table in Helen's room. Makes it all more real doesn't it?
